Earlier this year Blizzard announced a remastered version of the much-loved Diablo II game. This remaster would have enhanced graphics, be available on PC and consoles, and have cross progression between these devices. Today during the Xbox E3 showcase, it was announced that the game would release on September 23, 2021, Coming to all current gen and last gen consoles, PC, and Switch.
Originally released in June of 2000, Diablo II is a game that defined the hack and slash genre. Boasting a dark, horror like fantasy theme, the game allowed users to choose their own characters, set skills and stats, and fight the return of Diablo through 5 acts of the game. Because of the game’s success an expansion, Diablo II: Lord of Destruction, was released to extend the game.
Many fans will be eagerly awaiting this remastered release so they can once again return to to the world of Diablo.
